I broke my shin bone. So I have to have crutches all summer and I won't be dancing for a long time. Looks like this summer might not be so great after all.

So I finally got a few photo's from the Dancesport National Championships I competed in a couple weeks ago. My partner, Liz, and I placed 5th in cabaret. It was a lot of fun to compete. I can't wait till i get competing again after my mission. Anyway, here are the pictures.

Some new adventures

So it just so happens that my roommates and I are pretty much the coolest kids ever. Occasionally we have strange ideas and just run with them. The latest idea went a little like this "Hey bro, so one time I made a bunch of hats for babies with little round looms, we should totally get some of those and make hats for ourselves!"
"yeah man, thats the best thing I have heard all day"

so we all journeyed out to the local craft store "Porters". I had never thought that I would be excited in the least to go there, but hey, i guess there is a first time for everything.
So we spent about an buying looms and looking through all the yarns and stuff picking out the softest and most expensive ones.
Each of us got our own set and own fabric and we went home and spent all the spare time over the whole day making out hats. I have finished one now and i have to say, they are pretty freaking bomb.

So in other news, One of my roommates is soon to be a married man. His fiance went out to IF to have a bridal shower, so the guys and i decided to go to wingers and all get all you can eat sticky fingers and see who could eat the most for a demi bachelor party.We did eat and drink, we even made merry and had a good time. the chicken was pretty much bomb and i ate more than enought.

unfortunately i wasn't really thinking when i decided to completely gorge myself because directly afterwards i had a very intense dance practice to prepare for the upcoming extravadance. so yeah, bad idea, but totally worth it

A very sad day

So my phone is officially dead. This is not great at all. So now i need to figure out how to get a new one....boo. so yeah, thats it

So this last saturday I went on a field trip for my Geology Natural Disasters Class. It was pretty bomb.
We started out by driving up to the old teton dam that collapsed in the largest dam failure in american history. Check out them cliffs on that other side? they all used to be hills untill the flood broke through the dam and eroded away. There were also boulders the size of semi trucks down the canyon that were dragged down by the water. It was pretty much way exciting. Now I know never to build a dam out of loesse. Duh!So we kept on going up and stopped in a few places and ended up here on the hebgen earthquake fault scarp. So this hill here used to not be here. There was a campground with some people sitting in it when the earthquake happened. they were about where the foreground people are walking. As they tell it "It felt like we were in an elevater when the cable just snapped" and they dropped 21 feet immediately. All I can say about that is DANG NATURE...YOU'RE SCARY!!!

So down by the lake that the earthquake happened along(hebgen lake) There were some cabins that got washed away by a seiche(lake tsunami) that were pretty cool. And this is the outhouse. Looks like it has seen better days

So took a stop in west yellowstone for lunch and I decided I hate that town. Every single place there was closed. I saw a dairy queen, walked about half a mile to it to find it all closed up. So I walked to the nearest subway. closed for the season.... so then i went by the wendy's, closed as well. The only place that was open was arby's, and I'm sorry, but i just wasnt THAT hungry.

but we kept on going and stopped by mesa falls....

and hey i guess i can get over the dissapointment of lunch...i bet you can guess why too huh?

EXACTLY! I mean, how on earth would I be able to stay dissapointed with this awesome culumnal jointing? Seriously, check out this basalt flow? It was definately the highlight of the day. Man it was cool, i sure do love basalt cooling joints!

Time for the road

Hey there kids. So I havn't quite blogged....at all yet. So I think I am going to throw down a marathon for a bit and drop a few posts.

So a lot has happened since I left home.

I left everything behind to seek a new life as a cold hearted oil baron. So my first step is studying geology at BYU-Idaho. So I packed up all my posessions and set off with Jennifer for the great upper valley of idaho. We left in the evening at about 5 pm and decided to go all out and do an over nighter.

The first part of the trip was pretty nice, it was all just ballin like a gangsta while I could still see black people before passing over the mountains. That was pretty awesome, but then we can into a bit of trouble in the middle of nowhere. How was I supposed to know that cops were checking for speeding in the middle of absolutely nowhere. Anyway, I got slammed with a ticket.

So after that event we took a little stop in Othello for my sister's friend's wedding reception. So we got a little rest before we were off again.

So we were going and going and going and falling asleep so we decided to stop and take a little rest in La Grande before even trying to get through the 100 mile stretch to the next city, so we stopped in a gas station parking lot and napped for about 3 hours then were off again. The trip was starting to get pretty long especially because I was now driving the speed limit. But we eventually got to twin falls!!!

I like this place, pretty much because it first off has an awesome canyon, and also because it has an awesome bridge across the canyon. I mean, look at that thing! Woot, it is hot. Anyway, this is the only place in the country that it is legal to base jump off of a bridge. So there were a lot of people jumping off this bridge. It was pretty cool.

Anyway, it was just after leaving Twin that we got a call from my dad saying that the car was all smashed up at home, so that wasnt so great. but we just kept on trucking till finally we got to Zion. The upper valley is pretty bomb I should say.

So I have decided that I would follow the huge trend of Blogging in our family. As soon as I made a mention of "Probably wanting one", my mom was immediately busy setting up a blog for me. So I guess that we will see in time whether this blog is a complete failure or actually works. Check back soon for something good.
